Africon 2023 Event Schedule
MAY 25 – THURSDAY
9am – 5pm: CONFERENCE DAY 1
The conference officially begins with a day of interesting panels centered around entertainment & culture, leadership & advocacy, and business & tech.
7pm – 10pm: AFRICA DAY RECEPTION (Gold & Conference + Only)
Africa Day is observed annually to commemorate the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) which was created on May 25, 1963. In honor of that, we will be kicking off AFRICON with an Africa Day celebration.
10pm – 2am: AFTER PARTIES
May 26 – FRIDAY
10am – 2pm: CONFERENCE DAY 2
7pm – 10pm:Â AFRO BALL GALAÂ (Gold & VIP Only)-Â The Majestic DTLA
The last day of panel conversations and our highly anticipated Afro Ball Gala. The Afro Ball Gala, hosted by Amplify Africa, is a fashion-conscious, philanthropic event that celebrates individuals who are amplifying Africa and the diaspora by excelling within their respective professional and creative fields.
